About the Concept
Moco Museum’s founders are the former gallerists from the Netherlands, Kim Logchies-Prins and Lionel Logchies. The duo used to run a commercial space, Lionel Gallery, which hosted up to 1,000 visitors per day. After closing that commercial project, they started thinking of a private museum concept that would unite cutting-edge artists and collectors under one roof.
The couple’s first museum opened its doors in Amsterdam in 2016, and the second museum followed four years later. After four more years of preparatory work, the Moco family welcomes a newcomer – the museum in London. While the two existing Moco museums have already welcomed over one million visitors over the years of their operations, the London project is expected to attract over 300,000 visitors within one year.
