The road to the Super Bowl begins this weekend with the Wild Card Round, where we’re treated to some incredible storylines, including:

• A resurrected Joe Flacco and the Browns facing the Texans and super rookie C.J. Stroud.
• The Packers squaring off against former head coach Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys.
• Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff going head-to-head as the Lions host the Rams.
• Baker Mayfield filling Tom Brady’s shoes as the Bucs host a playoff game vs. the reigning NFC champs.

Oh yes, the two other games this weekend just happen to feature Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

Jason Logan’s Browns at Texans picks 

Best bet: Devin Singletary Over 63.5 rush yards (-114)

The Browns have given up 65 yards or more to a running back in four of their last seven games, including getting gashed for 80-plus yards in three of those outings, while allowing 5.1 yards per carry over the past three weeks. Singletary has been a beast in the second half of the schedule, averaging 4.5 yards per carry since Week 9 and just shy of 69 yards per game.

Joe Osborne’s Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs picks

Best bet: Second-half Under 21.5 points (-110)

The second-half total for this game is well above the average combined score of 14.9 from second halves in Chiefs games this season. That number takes even more of a dip, to 13.8, at Arrowhead, which resulted in all nine home games going Under the second-half total. As for the Dolphins, their offense has been falling asleep in the second half down the stretch as their last four games saw them score just 21 total points in the second half with just one touchdown.

Jason Logan’s Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys picks

Best bet: Tony Pollard Over 59.5 rushing yards (-114)

Pollard closed the regular-season 70-yard, 17-carry day versus Washington, and he (and the Cowboys’ O-line) can keep that momentum moving on the turf versus the Packers. Green Bay finished the campaign ranked 22nd in EPA allowed per handoff and allowed 4.4 yards per carry (23rd) to rival rushers, giving up the 11th-most rushing yards to RBs

Detroit’s defense was 27th in defensive EPA, and 30th in defensive dropback EPA, since Week 7, while the Rams scored 26+ points in six straight games before resting everyone in Week 18 — averaging 31.3 points per game in that span from Weeks 12-17.

This is what is projected six days out and of course, it can change, but it could get worse too with the current weather system in the area and Lake Effect always looming. Best bet: Under 43.5 (-110)

In three matchups vs. Bowles and the Buccaneers, Jalen Hurts owns a QB rating of just 63.01, with three touchdown passes to five interceptions while managing 44 rushing yards or less and an average of only 3.96 yards per run. Tampa Bay also allows just over 17 points per game at home, holds foes to the fourth fewest yards per play, and boasts the third-best red zone defense in the land. Adding to the potential for a low-scoring finish in Florida is a forecast calling for rain and thunderstorms all day Monday — and continuing throughout this prime-time kickoff.
