An epic rivalry renews at Old Trafford as Liverpool look to continue a hot start to the season against Erik ten Hag’s uneven Manchester United squad. However, we like the home side to come away with at least a draw.

One of the most anticipated games of the Premier League season is about to excite football’s faithful as Manchester United get ready to host Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday, September 1.

The match could be an iconic chance to fuel an entire campaign and my Man United vs. Liverpool predictions expect the home side to do everything in their power to deliver a statement result.

Read on for my best Premier League soccer picks.

EPL predictions for Man United vs Liverpool

My best bet:
Manchester United to win or draw (+100 at Betano)

My analysis

Manchester United saved their previous campaign after beating hometown arch-rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

That result also assured Erik ten Hag gets another shot after disappointing over the last two Premier League campaigns. This is finally his team, as the squad has been massively reshaped since his arrival. He got to choose his players and now it’s time to deliver.

United beat Fulham 1-0 on the opening day of the season before losing 2-1 to Brighton in a dismal performance that reminded fans of previous disappointments. If United are to change anything, it’s high time they position themselves and deliver against their biggest rival.

Liverpool beat Brentford and Ipswich and sit on six points after two games. United spent $240 million on transfers, while Liverpool registered expenses below $50 million.

The “Red Devils” found themselves in worse moments, but they still found the power to up their game when Liverpool came visiting. United have won twice and drawn once in their last three home confrontations against Liverpool.

At +100 with Betano, a Double Chance bet favoring United is a solid option. If you feel more adventurous, you could explore the simple draw option at an excellent +310.

Man United vs Liverpool same-game parlay (SGP)

Manchester United to win or draw

Over 11.5 corners

Alejandro Garnacho 1+ shots on target

In Liverpool’s two first Premier League outings this season there have been 13 and 12 corners respectively, while United v Fulham saw 15 corners being taken. There should be a lot of action at both ends when Liverpool come to Old Trafford, so the probability of seeing many corners is high.

Alejandro Garnacho was Man United’s golden sub in the victory against Fulham. He came on in the 61st minute and scored the game’s decider in the 87th minute. The Argentinean could get a chance in the starting lineup this time, considering Mount became unavailable. Garnacho has a reputation for his capacity to penetrate and finish off his actions and opting to add him to this SGP makes sense in my opinion. I chose 1+ shots to round up a nice +540 return at Betano.
