2024 Super Bowl favorites
San Francisco 49ers (+165 to +210)
Other than a few blips along the way, the San Francisco 49ers were the class of the NFC and marched into the postseason with a 12-5 record, clinching a bye before Week 18 even got underway.
After licking their wounds and getting healthy, the 49ers survived a scare against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night, hanging on for a 24-21 win following a go-ahead Christian McCaffrey touchdown in the final stages of the 4th quarter.
Baltimore Ravens (+190 to +290)
The Baltimore Ravens, meanwhile, finished with the best record in the NFL at 13-4 and were the only team with a scoring differential above 200.
Lamar Jackson cemented himself as the NFL MVP odds favorite as he and the rest of the team looked no worse for wear coming off the bye week, dismantling the Houston Texans 30-14 in the Divisional Round.
Buffalo Bills (+450 to +600)
The Buffalo Bills pulled off the, if not impossible, the very unlikely task of winning the AFC East after winning five straight games to finish the season, ending with a 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 18. Sure, they left some points on the field and Josh Allen threw a pair of interceptions and lost a fumble, but the Bills still managed to win.
In the Wild Card game, Allen redeemed himself, throwing three touchdown passes and running it in for a 52-yard rushing touchdown. The outcome was never in doubt, and now the Bills welcome Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to town on Sunday night.

Who is going to the Super Bowl?
Odds as of January 17, 2024.
Unsurprisingly, the 49ers are expected to secure a spot in the top three potential Super Bowl matchups.
Entering the playoffs as favorites at +175 to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, San Francisco has notched 11 victories this season by a winning margin of double-digits.
A Baltimore vs. San Francisco Super Bowl matchup currently tops the list at DraftKings, which would bring us a rematch from Super Bowl XLII in 2013 when John Harbaugh’s Ravens prevailed over Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers in New Orleans.
(If that’s the case, let’s just hope Usher doesn’t cause a power outage following halftime.)
Super Bowl Contenders
San Francisco 49ers (+150)
Pros: Elite offense. Plethora of options including Christian McCaffrey. Innovative head coach. Great schemes. Top 10 defense. Home field until SB58.
Cons: Stumbled into the postseason. Uncertainty surrounding Brock Purdy.
Baltimore Ravens (+195)
Pros: Dynamic offense. Lamar Jackson NFL MVP. Emergence of Zay Flowers. Defensively sound. Home field until SB 58.
Cons: Lamar Jackson’s history of falling short.
Buffalo Bills (+550)
Pros: Josh Allen. Emergence of Dalton Kincaid. Top 10 units on both sides of the football.
Cons: Josh Allen’s decision-making. Path to SB 58 (vs. Chiefs then vs. Ravens [likely]). Decimated by injuries on defense.
Kanas City Chiefs (+800)
Pros: Patrick Mahomes. Travis Kelce. Andy Reid. Top 5 defense.
Cons: Underwhelming recievers. First road playoff game in the Mahomes era.
Detroit Lions (+950)
Pros: Playmakers on offense. QB with Super Bowl experience. Dan Campbell’s tenacity.
Cons: Total defense (23rd). Pass defense (25th).
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3,500)
Pros: Playing with house money. Rejuvenated Baker Mayfield. Stout against the run — good matchup vs. Lions.
Cons: Poor pass defense. One dimensional offense.
